U-One System

Huebner Speed Monitoring has an innovative U-ONE system (now including the SAFETY LWL System) for speed and position monitoring.  The LWL (FOC) systems has a basic unit and function module placed in the Switchboard. Their ideal applications are when signal transmission, via fiber optic cables are possible, with sufficient space in the switchboard. These systems can transmit signals over long distances of up to 1km, with no interference and while using two fiber optic cables. The system solutions are suitable for use both in the new plants and as a modernization solution. The HUBNER GIESSEN U-ONE Systems are directly mounted onto the shaft that needs monitoring, therefore the U-ONE system requires no additional mechanical components, like distribution gears, couplings or speed increasing. The U-ONE system offers higher accuracy, and optionally available as certified for safe speed monitoring up to SIL 2/ PL d.
